This delightful cowl is light-as-a-feather but heavy on style. The simple drop-stitch design shows off the gorgeous mohair yarn and makes a perfect winter accessory: feminine, romantic and flattering. And like a winter morning’s still, cold air, this cowl is breathtakingly beautiful. Enjoy.

Wow! Really creative blog. I always wanted to learn how to knit…
Wow that really looks beautiful
It is beautiful ~ thanks for sharing! I’m going to make this for my mother-in-law. 🙂
Gorgeous. 1 Skein? And when I think about you asking ME for help with knitting. Just a ploy, huh? You are so talented!
I have uses many of your patterns and have been very satisfied with the outcome. I know this will be just as grand.
I’m honored that you’ve knit my patterns and I’m so happy that you’ve been pleased with the results! I think this pattern would knit up well in lots of different yarns – tell me how it turns out. Thank you and happy knitting!
I took a knitting class a few years ago and I loved learning the new skill. It is very relaxing and I could do it for hours in front of the TV with a glass of wine.
This is a beautiful pattern. Very classy and elegant.
This is beautiful! I’m gonna try to make it myself. Thanks for sharing!
I love it, unfortunately I don’t knit…..
This would also be beautiful in crochet!! ( hint- hint)
This WOULD be beautiful in crochet!! (totally caught your hint!)
I think this is beautiful and and preparing to try it. Are the needles 10mm or US size 10, which is 6.5mm?
Great question! I should have clarified this in the pattern – I apologize! The size needles I used were US 10 (6.5mm). Off to clarify this right now!
Happy Knitting! (And send pictures when you’re done!)
Beautiful cowl. How many balls of wool are required?
What a great question!
I have been kicking myself for a year now because I forgot to record the yardage/weight required for this cowl . . .and then sold the original. If I remember right, I think it’s about less than 75 grams of lace-weight mohair. (And I think that’s being on the safe side.)
I wish I could tell you EXACTLY . . .
Readers?
I’m sorry, I don’t knit! This is such a lovely pattern tho~~~
A VERY big thank you to Holly who reported the yardage needed for this cowl. She reported that it took 400 yds of lace-weight yarn, so I have updated the pattern – and spared many of us unnecessary knitting stress. Thank you, thank you Holly!
