  1. Delicious! Brie also works well as the cheese in question and if you aren’t vegetarian, add some prosciutto as well as the saltiness works really well with the sweet fig and creamy cheese. Leave the top off and grill so the cheese melts and the prosciutto gets all crispy.

  2. Your hunt for ingredients sounds so much like the problems I have here in Portugal. It’s always about compromise and adapting recipes. Figs are one thing we are not short of here…and I love fresh figs, goats cheese and walnuts with honey drizzled over the top.
